Croissants with European canned peaches

Croissants with European canned peaches

  • 1 can (15 ounces) European canned peaches, drained and diced
  • 1 package of store-bought croissant dough (or homemade if preferred)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)

  1. Preheat the Oven:

    • Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the croissant dough package.
  2. Prepare the Croissant Dough:

    • Roll out the croissant dough on a clean, lightly floured surface. If using store-bought dough, separate it into individual triangles along the perforated lines.
  3. Fill the Croissants:

    • Place a spoonful of diced European canned peaches at the widest end of each croissant triangle.
    • Roll up each croissant, starting from the widest end and tucking in the sides as you roll to enclose the peach filling. Repeat with the remaining croissant dough and peach filling.
  4. Brush with Egg Wash:

    • Place the filled croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
    • Brush the tops of the croissants with beaten egg wash. This will give them a shiny, golden finish when baked.
  5. Bake the Croissants:

    • Place the baking sheet with the filled croissants in the preheated oven.
    • Bake according to the instructions on the croissant dough package, usually until the croissants are golden brown and puffed up.
  6. Cool and Serve:

    • Once baked, remove the croissants from the oven and allow them to cool slightly on the baking sheet.
    • Optionally, dust the tops of the croissants with powdered sugar for a decorative touch.
    • Serve the Canned Peach-Filled Croissants warm or at room temperature, and enjoy their deliciously flaky layers and sweet peach filling.

These Peach-Filled Croissants are perfect for breakfast, brunch, or as a sweet snack any time of the day. They're sure to be a hit with family and friends, and you can customize them further by adding a sprinkle of cinnamon or a drizzle of honey for extra flavor.
