Ingredients:
- 1 can of European canned peaches, drained
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a round cake pan.
- Spread melted butter evenly over the bottom of the pan, then sprinkle brown sugar over the butter.
- Arrange peach slices in a single layer over the brown sugar.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until creamy. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients alternately with milk.
- Pour the batter over the peaches in the cake pan.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool for 10 minutes, then invert onto a serving plate. Serve warm or at room temperature.
