Greek-Inspired Fruit Salad with European Canned Peaches and Kiwis

Here's a simple and delicious recipe for a fruit salad using European canned peaches from Greece and kiwis:

Ingredients:

  • 1 can of European peaches (in syrup or juice) from Greece, drained and chopped
  • 3 ripe kiwis, peeled and sliced
  • 1 apple (optional), diced
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for extra sweetness)
  • Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon (optional, to keep fruits fresh)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Fruit: Drain the canned peaches and chop them into bite-sized pieces. Peel and slice the kiwis. If you're using an apple or grapes, dice the apple and halve the grapes.

  2. Mix the Fruit: In a large bowl, combine the chopped peaches, kiwi slices, apple (if using), and grapes (if using).

  3. Optional Sweetener: Drizzle with honey or maple syrup if you like a sweeter fruit salad. You can also add a little lemon juice to enhance the flavors and help preserve the freshness.

  4. Garnish: Garnish with fresh mint leaves for a touch of color and extra freshness.

  5. Serve: Chill in the fridge for about 10-15 minutes before serving, or enjoy immediately!

This fruit salad combines the sweetness of the canned peaches with the tanginess of the kiwis, creating a refreshing and satisfying snack or side dish!
